WSJ seeks real estate reporter in New York

January 13, 2016

Posted by Chris Roush

The Wall Street Journal’s real estate group is looking for an ambitious reporter to set up shop on the shifting terrain of retail property and real-estate funds.

In this multifaceted role, the reporter will break news and identify trends that help readers understand the ways landlords are changing the American shopping experience and reshaping cities, suburbs and exurbs.

The ideal candidate will be able both to deliver scoops on billion-dollar property deals and write with flair on everything from the art of store placement in high-end malls to the growing blight of empty storefronts in the suburbs. There also will be ample opportunities to work on broader industry pieces with fellow reporters on the real estate team and from bureaus across the U.S. and around the world.

Please include a resume, cover letter and up to five published clips with your online application.
