WSJ seeks news editor for Market Talk

The Wall Street Journal seeks a quick, sharp markets writer for its premiere real-time commentary service, Market Talk.

The reporter will need to understand markets, investing strategy and trading, and be able to write quickly on market moving news. The goals are to offer fast, smart analysis and to help readers understand what’s driving stocks, bonds, currencies and commodities.

The position also will involve editing submissions from reporters in other coverage areas. Real-time reporting experience and markets knowledge are mandatory. Reporters should be comfortable taking a point of view and be able to make their arguments quickly and succinctly. The job will be based in New York.
