Posted by Chris Roush

The Wall Street Journal seeks an experienced reporter to become a markets columnist for MoneyBeat, our global finance and markets blog. MoneyBeat is the premier venue for real-time insight and analysis of the biggest events in finance and the global markets every day.

This position will focus on the markets broadly, including stocks, bonds, and commodities. As a member of the MoneyBeat team, this person will be expected to set the agenda for markets coverage and analysis. On breaking news stories, the blogger is expected to jump in with quick, smart insights often gleaned from reporting, data or just good thinking.

The successful candidate will also write the successful Morning MoneyBeat email column, which goes out every day. We also expect enterprise reporting leading to blog posts, or news stories. Our bloggers make regular TV and radio appearances both for the Journal’s slate of programs and elsewhere.

Prior financial reporting experience is required. Strong writing and analytical skills are essential.
