WSJ seeks health care reporter

January 5, 2016

Posted by Chris Roush

The Wall Street Journal’s Health & Science group is looking for an enterprising news hound to cover the business of hospitals and health care.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to break news and get inside companies to explain the workings of a complex industry, as well as the writing chops to bring stories to life with engaging narratives. Experience covering health care is desirable, but not necessary. The successful candidate will have the drive and skills to dominate a beat that encompasses one-fifth of our nation’s economy. This reporter will juggle breaking news with longer-term pieces, and work across platforms.

This position is based in New York.

Online applications should include a cover letter, resume and up to five published clips.
