WSJ seeks deputy investigations editor

The Wall Street Journal is seeking a seasoned investigative editor to be a second deputy and help oversee a team of experienced Journal investigative and data reporters.

This senior-level post would require an accomplished editor with vast experience in both reporting and editing enterprise pieces and data projects.

The ideal candidate would possess proven skills in executing narratives and deep investigative dives, as well as overseeing faster investigations off news events.

The candidate would have extensive contacts with editors and reporters across the entire news organization. The position requires an editor comfortable both with longer-term projects and swat teams when needed to jump into big news events.

The successful applicant also will possess the ability to break down complex issues and find smart multimedia and other ways to tell stories.
