WSJ seeks deputy editor for markets

Wall Street JournalThe Wall Street Journal seeks an accomplished journalist to help oversee markets coverage and markets reporters.

The successful candidate will have experience in reporting or editing financial market stories and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

She or he will be expected to edit breaking news stories under deadline pressure but also have a passion for big ideas.

The deputy should have the ability to inspire, manage and mentor a team of reporters. This person should know how to present complex financial stories in a way that appeals to a broad readership.

The successful candidate should also have the temperament to work well with other editors in New York and elsewhere.
