The Wall Street Journal is looking for a reporter with global ambitions to cover the dollar and foreign exchange, the world’s largest financial market with more than $5 trillion trading each day.

The reporter should be able to write regularly on the dollar’s movements against major currencies, and will work with reporters in Europe and Asia to explain how currency movements influence economies and political decisions.

She or he should look to break news on the ups and downs of some of the market’s biggest currency traders who put billions of dollars on the line. This person should also be able to write vivid enterprise stories explaining how the dollar bull market affects U.S. consumers, businesses and trading partners.

Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and up to five published clips.
