The Wall Street Journal seeks a dynamic, fast reporter to cover company-related breaking news.

This job positions you on the front line of our Real-Time desk, writing stories about mergers and acquisitions, quarterly earnings and executive changes at the most important companies on the planet.

Our stories often hold the top spot on WSJ.com, have made it onto the front page of the print edition and are often the first bearer of smart news for traders reading from their terminals.

In short, this is an opportunity to write market-leading breaking news for the global authority in business journalism. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to digest numbers and information quickly and turn them into a story understandable by readers from Main Street to Wall Street.

The candidate must be sharp, adept and adaptable – in her or his reporting, personality and grasp of technology.

Applications should include a resume, cover letter and up to five published clips.
