WSJ seeks banking and finance reporter

February 10, 2015

Posted by Chris Roush

The Wall Street Journal is seeking a general-assignment reporter focused on the banking and finance industries.

This exciting position is at the forefront of our real-time news operation – being a first responder to breaking news in the banking and finance worlds. The successful applicant will be driven and energetic, and determined to be the first person to deliver big news to our readers.

He or she will have the ability to quickly turn breaking news – often on a range of complex topics – into a cogent and comprehensive story within minutes. These stories may begin as a few short paragraphs as news breaks, grow through the day, and ultimately end up on Page One of The Wall Street Journal.  While this is a general-assignment position, the successful applicant will also be given a specific beat, requiring him or her to develop strong sources and generate scoops.

Please include a cover letter, resume and up to five published clips with your online application.
