WSJ seeks autos reporter in Japan

The Wall Street Journal’s Tokyo bureau is seeking a beat reporter for the Japanese auto industry.

This is one of the core beats in the bureau, covering Japanese auto makers including Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi and Mazda. The reporter must collaborate closely with other Wall Street Journal auto reporters and editors around the world. He/she must break news and write features that delve into the strategies of these auto makers as they deal with rapid changes in technology and the global economy.

Job Qualifications:

At least three to five years of experience in journalism, with demonstrated ability to cover a beat, break news and write engagingly. Complete fluency in written and spoken Japanese required.
