WSJ seeks assistant editor in New York

WSJ boxThe Wall Street Journal seeks an experienced journalist to edit and help guide real-time coverage.

The job, based in New York in the heart of the WSJ newsroom, involves editing and publishing stories on a wide range of topics to digital platforms. This includes everything from rapid-fire headlines on Dow Jones Newswires to email alerts for WSJ.com subscribers to news stories and other items that need to be published quickly online.

The editor in this position must have solid news judgment, top-notch editing prowess and strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-pressure, breaking-news environment in which the ability to make smart, rapid decisions and quickly deliver expertly edited stories is essential. Experience handling the visual elements that accompany news stories is a plus.
