The Wall Street Journal’s Moscow bureau is looking for a striving, self-starting reporter to cover one of our most challenging beats: Russia’s economy and the banking sector.
The ideal candidate will be well sourced, bringing solid contacts inside the Finance Ministry, the Bank of Russia, and the country’s major banks.
This is a job that requires the ability to deliver breaking news on central bank rate decisions, major currency movements and macroeconomic indicators. Equally important, the reporter will produce clean, camera-ready copy for all of our platforms: Newswires, WSJ.com and our print editions.
This is an opportunity for a reporter who wants to take their career to the next level. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn how to deliver classic WSJ features, while consistently beating the competition on their dedicated turf. Russian fluency is a must, as is a strong work ethic and spirit of collegiality.
