WSJ 2017The Wall Street Journal’s Washington bureau is seeking an enterprising journalist to work with our Global Central Banks Editor, Economics Editors and our Federal Reserve/U.S. Economics reporting team in Washington to cover the U.S. Federal Reserve, one of the most important players in the world’s economy and markets.

The reporter would work with the team to break news and jump on daily stories as well as connect the dots for smart analyses, profiles, features and front-page enterprise stories that would help readers understand Fed policy-making and its impact on the economy, businesses, markets and individuals.

The reporter will be based in Washington, D.C., and work across all platforms.

We are looking for someone with strong news judgment, writing ability and digital skills. The ideal candidate would have experience covering markets and economics, getting scoops, developing sources and working well with others. Experience covering central banking—including monetary and regulatory policy–would be a plus, but is not a requirement.
