The Triad Business Journal, based in Greensboro, N.C., is looking to fill two positions:
The Triad Business Journal is seeking a dynamic reporter who is in journalism for the thrill that comes with breaking news daily, owning a beat and the satisfaction of writing meaningful enterprise and people-focused features. The selected reporter will be covering real estate, construction and economic development – dynamic beats that yield a regular flow of important and highly read stories in our region. The reporter will contribute to our daily digital products as well as our weekly print edition.
The position requires strong critical thinking skills; a deep commitment to story structure and clarity in writing; a devotion to source building; sharp interviewing skills; and a proactive, competitive approach to reporting.
TBJ is also looking to fill a position for a Reporter/Digital Producer. This is a hybrid position that will allow the right candidate to develop and refine his or her digital skills while keeping an active hand in beat reporting, which is likely to include covering our region’s dynamic and growing health care industry. Duties will include producing our morning email product and driving its already strong reader engagement, as well as helping to manage the newsroom’s social-media platforms.
