TheStreet is seeking a homepage editor to run day-to-day programming and breaking business news coverage on our homepage.
This role will interface with editors and other staff across the newsroom to create multimedia content. This person must have an innate sense of what is news.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor programming for business news coverage on homepage
• Ensure links on homepage are accurate at all times
• Responsible for placement of all articles, videos, and social content
• Daily interaction with beat and market editors
• Publish content through the company’s content management system
• Keep up to date on financial markets and stay informed on breaking news for all program verticals
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a newsroom focusing on business news
• Sharp business news judgement
• Must have a passion for business news and stocks and have an interest in investing
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
• Must have excellent communication skills
