TheAtlantic.com is hiring a writer/editor to work on its Business Channel.

Main responsibilities:

You’ll generate many story ideas and execute them creatively. You may also be asked to handle inbound freelancer queries and edit your colleagues’ stories.

The ideal candidate:

You should be an excellent writer and an assiduous editor. You should want to edit, but not exclusively. You should be interested in business and economics, but not exclusively. You should love journalism and working on the web.

Bonus points:

* You know our work well.

* You have a proven track record writing every day.

* You have studied business, economics, or related fields.

This job provides a lot of flexibility to pursue your own interests.

We’re willing to consider people from a variety of work backgrounds.

The job is full-time and is based in Washington, D.C.
