SC Biz News seeks assistant editor

SC Biz NewsSC Biz News, a B2B publications company in South Carolina, is looking for a well-organized writer/editor to join our growing custom publishing division. The position, which will be based in Charleston, will be responsible for helping with a variety of projects across the state.

We need someone comfortable managing their own schedule and working independently, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. Also skill with a variety of writing styles for different audiences is required for this position, including magazine and newspaper audiences, among others.

Job duties and skills include:

  • Publications planning
  • Working with clients
  • Handling several projects at once
  • Strong editing and writing
  • Collaborating with freelance writers and photographers

You’ll also be asked to help conceptualize new custom publications in a team-oriented environment. Some travel within South Carolina is required, but you’ll be living and working in one of the most historic cities in America, with a vibrant arts scene and world-class culinary offerings.
