San Francisco Business Times logoThe San Francisco Business Times is seeking an experienced journalist for special projects editor.

The projects editor is a critical player in the planning and execution of special publications and focus sections, content and copy editing of those reports, and overseeing the work of freelancers, along with additional print and digital editing responsibilities in a multimedia operation.

The projects editor will actively manage awards publications from start to finish, including coordinating outreach to nominees and potential nominees. This will involve working closely with events staff.

The projects editor works with beat reporters, researchers and other editors, to conceive and execute special publications and focus sections from start to finish: Assigning stories, coordinating art assignments and overseeing all aspects of text and visuals through production.

In addition to managing and editing projects and focus reports, this position will also require some general assignment reporting as needed, which would encompass some writing for focus and projects as well as regular contributions to daily news reporting.
