Reuters is seeking a hard-hitting reporter to break news about white-collar investigations.

As part of an ambitious team, the successful candidate will deliver scoops and provide agenda-setting coverage of probes stemming from the Department of Justice, the FBI and other key enforcement agencies. The reporter will be expected to contribute to developing stories and to work on longer-term investigative projects.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong track record of breaking news. Sourcing is key to this job.

Candidates should either have a Rolodex of top-flight lawyers in the criminal defense bar, investigators and prosecutors, or a proven ability to develop deep sources on complex subjects.

The right person will show a willingness to relentlessly pursue scoops of confidential investigations and must be able to work collaboratively with journalists across the newsroom. Prior experience covering the white-collar bar or enforcement is a plus.
