Reuters is looking for an energetic, creative and collaborative reporter to cover cybersecurity in our Washington bureau. The successful candidate will break news on a fast-evolving area of coverage that has become a key element of national security and a major risk for corporations.

We’re looking for a reporter who can cover the developing debate over security and privacy policy as well as the fallout from cyber espionage cases targeting companies and U.S. government networks. The successful candidate will work with our foreign policy and national security team in Washington and with Reuters reporters across the United States and in bureaus around the world in telling this story.

We’re looking for someone who can deliver exclusive news and insight and who has the ambition to be part of a team looking to compete on both the speed and depth of our reporting.

Qualifications

Experience in covering cybersecurity and the debate over privacy and security policy with a track record in breaking news.
A demonstrated ability to develop sources, work public records and conduct investigations are required.
