Prairie BusinessPrairie Business magazine, which is based in Grand Forks, North Dakota, seeks an editor.

Responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the Prairie Business magazine and employees.
Write and edit stories and features.
Make recommendations for annual departmental budget and continue to monitor throughout the year.
Deal with readers and resources by telephone, mail and in person.
Develop and enforce policies on the kind of business stories and information that will be published.
Monitor freelance writers completed pages to ensure that established design policies are being followed.
Travel throughout the region attending conferences and cover possible stories.
Represent the magazine as a public spokes person in a variety of venues.
All other duties as assigned by the Publisher.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to coordinate the work flow of a department, manage employees and assign projects.
Time management skills while working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent organizational skills and people skills a must.
Ability to read, analyze, and recognize editorial errors and make adjustments as needed.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must have a valid driver’s license and have a driving record that is insurable by the company.
