What are the power players doing, and why do we need to know about it? This position will be our readers’ go-to for smart, quick takes — easily digestible, highly informative, and in an on-brand voice that never skip a beat.

The ideal candidate is high energy with an unwavering passion for business. Ability to think, act, and write quickly—spotting stories in real time and covering them in a compelling and shareable way for a digital audience. To succeed in this role, a reporter will have to be a self-starter and excel at working on a team.

For those who scan bulleted lists of responsibilities:

  • Pitch 8-10 compelling news articles per day
  • Cover key figures in the sphere and craft original, short-form stories on tight deadlines
  • Track emerging business trends, while collaborating with editors
  • Collaborate with teams across the newsroom to create multimedia stories that are optimized for search, social and mobile audiences

  • Fast, agile learner with demonstrated experience breaking news
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field
