The Northern Nevada Business Weekly in Reno is looking for a new reporter.
Responsibilities Include (but are no limited to):
- Conceives and executes original story ideas and spots daily news of interest to NNBW readers.
- Originates enterprising story ideas and completes such assignments from the business editor on a wide range of topics.
- Conceives photo and graphics ideas to help illustrate stories.
- Develops a wide range of sources.
- All other responsibilities required by the editor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum one-year newspaper reporting experience preferred.
- Experience covering business preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to write clearly and accurately, and meet deadlines.
- Skilled in listening, learning and understanding other people.
- Collegial, collaborative and decisive; comfortable with change and able to adapt.
- Valid driver’s license.
