New York Times seeks breaking news reporter for business

New York TimesBusiness Day is looking for a talented and energetic reporter to join its daily news operation. This reporter will be the first line of defense for our report, and will cover stories that range from finance to media to tech.

The reporter should a have demonstrated ability to report and write quickly, possess strong news instincts, be able to identify trending stories and be comfortable digging into financial reports and other data. In addition, the reporter should be comfortable writing and telling stories in a variety of formats, and she or he must be adept and employing audience development tactics, like SEO and framing stories for social media. Above all, a collegial personality and a cool head in stressful situations are musts.
