Screen Shot 2017-06-10 at 11.36.16 AMThe Daily Hampshire Gazette seeks a go-getter to cover the business scene in Northampton, Amherst and other communities in our geographically gorgeous and culturally vibrant region of western Massachusetts.

We’re looking for someone who’s as entrepreneurial as the business owners — creative developers, locavore restaurateurs, retail whizzes and more — who light up the local economy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing sources, spotting trends and finding the human beings behind the numbers.

The Gazette is one of the nation’s oldest and feistiest community news operations.

Founded in 1786, it was named 2015 New England Newspaper of the Year in its circulation class for print and web. As we move to a web-first model of breaking news coverage, digital skills and sensibility are a must. Professional experience is a must, but we will consider new college graduates with strong internship experience.

Interested? Send a resume, cover letter, salary expectations and five of your best stories to Business Editor Chad Cain at ccain@gazettenet.com. No phone calls, please.
