law360-logoLaw360, a LexisNexis company,  is seeking an experienced reporter to cover the business of law firms for our online daily business newswire. This is a great opportunity for a go-getter to report on the law firms that are influencing the big cases that change our world, and advising the companies that drive our economy.

You will be responsible for pitching and writing 2-3 stories a day that will be of interest to attorneys — articles on their compensation, firm finances and mergers, as well as diversity and recruitment. We need someone who can get a scoop from the loose-lipped members of BigLaw and then pivot to writing a soft tips story on becoming a rainmaker.  At Law360, we are hard working, but also know how to have fun!  We value work-life balance. We offer an unlimited supply of granola bars and fun ping pong games.

Candidates must have at least two years reporting experience, experience covering law firms and strong reporting, writing, communication and analytical abilities. Qualified candidates will be asked to complete writing and reporting tests electronically.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field
  • 2+ years of paid, full time reporting experience
  • Experience reporting on law firms
  • Demonstrated reporting, writing and organizational skills
  • Must be able to start at least three weeks from acceptance date

Law360 offers extensive training on legal topics. Business or legal reporting experience is not required. However, professional reporting experience and strong writing and analytical skills are required to succeed in this job. Please note; qualified candidates will be asked to complete writing and reporting assessments electronically.
