Investment News seeks copy editor

Investment NewsJob responsibilities:

All traditional copy-editing functions for the newspaper’s print and online stories, tables, graphics, etc.
Do expert line editing for style, grammar, conciseness, clarity and logic
Craft sparkling headlines.
Confer with reporters and editors as necessary.
Proofread marked page proofs and make indicated changes electronically.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of copy editing experience in a professional newsroom.
Must have background in finance journalism.
Must have a track record of working with both online and print publications.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related fields.
Excellent knowledge of AP style.
Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented news environment.
Experience working in a CMS to post web stories.
Must be able to quickly familiarize yourself with the subject matter.
Preferences:

Experience copy editing for a b2b publication.
Experience working in a financial adviser related publication.
Knowledge of Adobe Incopy.
