International Business Times seeks business editor

September 5, 2014

Posted by Chris Roush

The International Business Times, a leading source of global news and analysis, seeks an energetic, brilliant and ambitious editor to oversee its signature offering — the business report.

The position is based in our US edition newsroom in New York City but will involve working with correspondents in India and China and sister editions in Europe. The ideal candidate is a news junkie who is constantly seeking to get ahead of the latest developments yet also a devotee of the killer feature that steps back and makes sense of it all; a gifted story-teller with the clips to prove it as well as a teacher who takes pleasure in working wing less-experienced writers to master the craft.

Must be fluent in business and finance speak and able to translate it into plain English.

Interested candidates please send clips, resume and a one-page statement on how you would deploy a team of five reporters: How would you shape their beats? What stories would you try to own? Please e-mail this material to deputy managing editor Mark Bonner at m.bonner@ibtimes.com .
