International Biz Times seeks tech/media reporter

The International Business Times is seeking a reporter to cover the future of TV.

We’re living in a golden age of screen-based entertainment, but the dominant broadcast and cable business models are unraveling by a thousand little tugs as technology changes the way we consume and pay for content.

To cover it, we’re looking for a news-breaker who’s obsessed with ratings, programming schedules and network intrigue, but who can also explain how little increments add up to a big shift in the way Hollywood works.

The successful candidate must have an appreciation for TV in all its forms from lowbrow reality to YouTube to high-end series from HBO, Showtime and Netflix as well as a nose for the business behind the show. International Business Times is a fast-growing, digital-first new organization based in Manhattan but with bureaus all over the world.

The job can be based in New York City or Los Angeles. Interested applicants should send a cover letter, clips and resume to Mark Bonner at m.bonner@ibtimes.com.
