FT Alphaville seeks reporter in New York and London

November 30, 2015

Posted by Chris Roush

So we are immediately looking for two or three natural writers with an interest in all things financial to join the FT Alphaville team at the FT. Deadline: December 15, 2015.

At least one of these positions will be based in London and possibly one in New York, although we are happy to hear from applicants interested in being based in other financial centres.

But you’ve got to be able to write. We need camera-ready prose from experienced people who are instinctive, creative, witty and quick. You’ll also be expected to know a thing or two about financial markets, economics and/or corporate life, and to be keen to learn more.

Perhaps you are already a business journalist at a quality publication who wants more freedom and the chance to dig deeper into difficult subjects.

Perhaps you are a part-time blogger wanting to make the jump to a professional media platform.

Or maybe you are an IB-trained all-rounder who has decided they’d rather comment from outside the investment banking tent, rather than sit inside, shackled and gagged, for 14 hours a day.

Ping a CV and maybe a writing example to: alphaville@ft.com. We will read and reply to every application. Interviews will follow, probably with a writing test. The process will probably take longer than you expect since it’s Xmas soon and we’re also picky.
