The opening is for a reporter to provide grains and livestock futures market coverage for Dow Jones Newswires, WSJ.com and the print editions of The Wall Street Journal.

The selected reporter will track trading action and key developments in these two crucial markets to write multiple daily reports and commentary. The reporter also will analyze major data releases from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and other agencies.

As the lead on daily markets coverage, this reporter will also be expected to contribute to breaking news and will have opportunities to write more broadly about industry trends and developments, collaborate with reporters in the Chicago corporate bureau and markets teams based in New York.

Prior experience in the field is welcome, but more important are strong instincts for news, demonstrated reporting skills, and desire to grow as a journalist in a global newsroom. Applications must include a resume, cover letter and five published clips.
