The CNNMoney Producer II will work closely with CNN and CNNMoney reporters to develop and produce business news stories for all CNN platforms.
This position requires the producer to work closely with the reporter for all aspects of production, from pitching story ideas through delivering content to all platforms. The producer is responsible for coordinating reporter requests, and managing all package and live shot requests. Ability to travel at short notice is required, and the ability edit basic packages using Final Cut Pro and oversee craft edits.
Produce live shots using satellite and digital transmission technologies. Coordinate live shots with TV networks and digital platforms. Research and story prep with reporters. Conduct expert interviews and write questions for reporter interviews. Works with news gathering team and shows to promote content for TV, digital and social platforms. Create digital nodes for video, writing headlines and search terms. Publish videos to digital platforms.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent. Five years field production experience. Five years TV/Video Production experience. Basic Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere editing skills. Must have sound editorial news judgement, an awareness of current business and finance news trends, the ability to produce broadcast quality video stories quickly and efficiently, strong communication skills, excellent teamwork and team-building skills. Must have strong knowledge of media law and be versed in CNN’s standards and practices, or an industry equivalent.
