CNBC is looking for a computational journalist to join our data visualization team.

Our computational journalists will create interactive features, models, and systems that collect, process and present real-time data and predictions about business, economics, sports, and lifestyle.

Qualifications/Requirements

– CNBC is looking for candidates with extensive practice building web applications.
– Candidates should be full-stack programmers, with experience using:
– modern programming languages including Python, Ruby and Javascript
– web frameworks such as Rails, Django or node.js
– relational and document-based data stores like MySQL, Postgres or MongoDB
– Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ
– Must be willing to submit to a background check

Thus, in addition to their programming and development skills, candidates should be able to demonstrate interest in one or more core subject areas — business, economics, sports, and lifestyle.
