CNBC.com seeks banking reporter

CNBC-websiteThe reporter will be responsible for writing about Wall Street with a specific focus on the major banks.  The types of stories written by the reporter will include earnings reviews and previews for the banks, pieces on the latest trends in the industry and developments with top executives of the major banks.

The reporters daily responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
-Monitoring bank stocks
-Monitoring developments in lending, trading and M&A
-Monitoring major employee moves
-Working with CNBC TV to turn interviews into great stories

Qualifications/Requirements

-At least three years of business reporting experience
-Specific experience writing about banks
-Knowledge of banks basic functions and how they make money
-Wall Street sources
-Ability to file fast, clean copy

Desired Characteristics

Candidates must be self-motivated with a passion for writing about Wall Street. They must demonstrate knowledge of the trends and people making news in the industry right now.
