The Cape Cod Times, an award-winning daily newspaper in Hyannis, Massachusetts, is looking for a full-time reporter to cover the region’s dynamic business and nonprofit sectors, including the tourism, fishing, retail and real estate industries.
Applicants should have experience using spreadsheets and data to advance stories, be capable of humanizing that information, and be able to produce content for both digital and print audiences.
The Times business reporter must be prepared to break news, analyze trends and profile businesses and the people behind them. The successful candidate is an aggressive and self-motivated journalist who will produce clean copy and hit deadlines.
Daily newspaper experience is a must, as is a willingness to work flexible shifts when necessary. Digital and social media experience, demonstrated knowledge of public records law and a track record of cultivating and maintaining great sources required.
