Bloomberg seeks market structure reporter in London

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced financial reporter to cover high-frequency trading, dark pools, exchanges, and other market structure topics in Europe.

The reporter will be expected to break news on the major trends and actors in the trading of stocks, bonds, derivatives, currencies and commodities. Duties include covering corporate developments at Deutsche Boerse, London Stock Exchange, Euronext, Nasdaq, Bats Chi-X Europe, and other trading venues, with topics ranging from M&A, technology errors and improvements, and personnel changes.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong track record of generating scoops and compelling stories that appeal to not only financial professionals but also a general readership.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Knowledge of the economy, financial markets and business
-Proven business reporting and writing experience
-Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure
