Bloomberg seeks Chinese language editor in New York

Bloomberg News is seeking a markets editor to join its Chinese-language service in New York as it expands coverage of FX and fixed-income markets.

The individual in this role will help to shape Bloomberg’s Chinese news coverage of currency and debt markets during the eastern trading timezones, working with our editors and translators in identifying and generating market-moving news for a Chinese-reading audience.

Candidates should have experience in financial markets and understand the main drivers for Chinese securities. They should have strong writing skills, an ability to generate story ideas, as well as deep and broad contacts among traders and investors. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required and working proficiency in English will be preferable.

Qualifications
– Minimum of two years of FX or fixed income experience in the financial industry
– Strong writing skills; experience in financial journalism will be an advantage
– Strong work ethic, team player, ability to work on deadline and in a high-pressure environment
– Fluency in Chinese and working proficiency in English
