The Albany Business Review is seeking a dynamic reporter who is in journalism for the thrill that comes with breaking news, owning a beat and the satisfaction of writing meaningful enterprise. The reporter will be covering the technology and money beats.

We need reporters who thrive in a fast-paced environment. In our newsroom we emphasize context and clarity. Our reporters become authoritative voices on topics of importance to the business community. Our reporters break news daily online, write deep enterprise for our weekly edition, connect with readers via social media, and take photos and videos to accompany news reports.

This is a newsroom where you can do the best work of your career, reach a national audience and be a vital news source for the local business leaders while living in a quality, affordable community with mountains, lakes and some of the greatest cities near by.

Duties:

Our reporters must: Own their beat. Build source network relentlessly. Attend both Business Review and industry related events. Break news digitally every day and write an indepth, magazine style article once a month, plus contribute to our other publications.

Skills:

Our next reporter will have strong critical thinking skills; a deep commitment to story structure and clarity in writing; a devotion to source building, sharp interviewing skills. Our next reporter will be intensely competitive.
