American City Business Journals is looking for an editor to establish, lead and grow Bizwomen, a new national digital product that will cover the interests of women in all kinds of business, from Fortune 100 to start-ups.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in driving news coverage, demonstrated ability to grow audience, and the entrepreneurial fire to build a brand from scratch.

Managing a small team while also coordinating coverage with a large network of business journals takes a light hand and a clear vision. Strong editing skills and quick decision-making are critical.

Understanding the layers and reach of ACBJ is important. Our editor should want to be blogger-in-chief as well as tweet-chief, using social media to drive audience. Public speaking skills and travel required.

Salary commensurate with experience and excellent benefits. Position based in Charlotte, N.C.

The Business Journals and Bizwomen are owned by American City Business Journals, the country’s largest company devoted to local business news and information. ACBJ is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, physical or mental impairment, or any other category protected under federal, state or local law.

Interested parties should send expression of interest, resume and clips or other appropriate materials to: Emory Thomas, Chief Content Officer, The Business Journals, 120 W. Morehead St., Suite 400, Charlotte, N.C. 28202, or via email — with “Bizwomen editor” in the subject line — to ethomas@bizjournals.com.
