Yahoo Finance, Dow Jones websites gain traffic in June; Business Insider falls

Yahoo Finance 2016Yahoo Finance and the Dow Jones & Co. websites saw gains in readers in June, while Business Insider slumped, according to data from the comScore Multiplatform report for the month.

Yahoo Finance remained the No. 1 business and finance website for the month with 75.5 million unique visitors, up from 71.2 million in May.

And Dow Jones & Co., which operates the websites for The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch.com and Barron’s, reported 44.3 million unique visitors in June, up 13 percent from 39.2 million in May, making it the No. 2 in the category. It was No. 4 in May.

Forbes remained No. 3 with 44 million unique visitors for the month, down slightly from 45.6 million unique visitors in May.

Business Insider, which peaked at 50.9 million unique visitors in February, has fallen to 38.5 million unique visitors in June, down 12.5 percent from May. It’s now No. 4 in the category.

Rounding out the top 10 business and finance sites in June were CNBC, up 10.5 percent to 29.1 million unique visitors; Bloomberg, up 7.6 percent to 28.4 million; International Business Times, down 4.5 percent to 27.6 million; CNNMoney, up 5.6 percent to 23.3 million; MSN Money, up 2 percent to 15.7 million; and AOL Money & Finance, down 7 percent to 14.2 million.
