Shelly Banjo, who now covers Connecticut and Westchester County for the greater New York section of The Wall Street Journal, is moving to Dallas later this year to cover Wal-Mart, a newspaper spokeswoman confirmed to Talking Biz News on Monday.

Banjo has been at the Journal since 2007. She has an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.

In 2010, Banjo wrote for The Journal about how she nearly died after running in the New York City Marathon.

The Dallas bureau has a new bureau chief, Leslie Eaton, who is the former deputy bureau chief.
