Worcester Business Journal editor Rick Saia is leaving the business news publication after four years to become a senior content editor for The Channel Co. in Westborough.
Walter Bird Jr. of Worcester Magazine writes, “His last day with the Worcester Business Journal is Friday, Sept. 11.
“The Channel Company publishes, among other things, crn.com, which focuses on technology news and analysis.
“The 57-year-old Shrewsbury resident said he was not actively seeking a career change.
“‘I wasn’t looking for a job,’ Saia said, adding with a laugh, ‘It’s kind of nice to be wanted.’
“The opportunity was too good to pass up, he said, otherwise he would have gladly remained with the Worcester Business Journal.
“‘The past four years have been a great experience,’ he said of leading the editorial charge for the Worcester Business Journal and wbjournal.com. ‘I’d be content to stay here another four years.'”
