Westwood One expands radio content deal with CNBC

CNBC Business RadioWestwood One and CNBC have expanded their agreement where the business news channel provides content to Westwood’s radio stations.

CNBC will now provide a second hourly business report. Westwood one will now offer two hourly reports to stations at both 20 minutes and 50 minutes past the hour, with re-feeds at 25 minutes and 55 minutes past the hour, from CNBC.

CNBC Business Reports currently air on more than 140 stations nationwide.

Nine of the top 10 markets and 22 of the top 25 markets air CNBC radio’s reports. Recent additions include WLS in Chicago, WMAL in Washington and KCMO in Kansas City.

“Westwood One is delighted to expand the content that we offer affiliates in the business space,” Westwood One senior vice president of affiliate sales Dennis Green said in a statement. “CNBC is the best-in-class brand that listeners have grown to trust for many years and it’s evident by the number of new stations that are signing up.”
