West Virginia paper hires new business reporter

Fred PaceFred Pace, a 25-year veteran in journalism and newspapers, was hired by The Huntington (West Virginia) Herald-Dispatch as its new business reporter.

A story on its website states, “Pace was the business editor for The Register-Herald in Beckley for several years and was most recently the editor of the Portsmouth Daily Times in Ohio.

“Pace will be covering general and feature assignments in business, including industry trends, earnings announcements and breaking news. He will also fill in on general assignments for other beats as well.

“Pace has won over 50 writing and photography awards from the West Virginia Press Association during his 25-year career.”
