Catherine Carlock, a reporter for the Triad Business Journal in Greensboro, N.C., is moving to the Boston Business Journal, another American City Business Journals newspaper.

Carlock will be its real estate editor starting Dec. 8. She will have responsibility over Real Estate Inc., the daily commercial real estate industry newsletter, as well as a reporter page in the weekly print edition.

At the Triad Business Journal, she has been the beat reporter covering real estate, economic development, and prior to that she was its special reports and special publications reporter — essentially a features reporter — for two years.

“I’m delighted to be staying within the American City Business Journals network as I move forward in my journalism career,” said Carlock.

The Triad Business Journal was her first full-time reporting position after graduating Washington & Lee University.

“I was ready for a change and a move to a larger market, both personally and professionally, and I’m thrilled to be heading up to a city as vibrant and sophisticated as Boston,” said Carlock.

“However, this is something of a bittersweet parting. While I’m elated to join the Boston team, I’m sad to say goodbye to the Triad Business Journal. The TBJ is high-performing, wonderful team of journalists and editors — the best in the region, in my opinion — and I’ve been proud to be a part of it for the past four years.”
