enterpriseEnterprise Community Partners, a nonprofit affordable housing organization, is seeking applicants for a three-day educational fellowship focused on housing and community development issues in New Orleans.

From July 15-17, we will be hosting a study tour for print, broadcast and online journalists.

The goal of this immersive program, held just before the 10 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, is to improve awareness and understanding of the economic, political and social aspects of rising rents and stagnant wages.

The program will be small – approximately eight to ten journalists total – to provide ample opportunity for engagement with speakers, panelists and on-the-ground sources who will talk about how the New Orleans economy has been affected in the years after Katrina.

You can also find a link to the materials here.

The program is sponsored by Enterprise Community Partners Inc., a nonprofit affordable housing organization based in Columbia, Md.

To apply, please send at least three recent examples of your work, a resume, approval from your supervisor and a brief statement of interest. There is no registration fee, and the program will cover all anticipated costs in New Orleans, including accommodations, meals and materials.
