Screen Shot 2016-10-03 at 10.15.22 AMThe Recorder, a California weekly law publication owned by ALM, announced Monday that it’s becoming an online-only publication.

ALM turned another one of its publications, the Connecticut Law Tribune, into an online-only publication earlier this year. When it became a web publication, it began producing more in-depth coverage of litigation trends, the business of law and the future of the intersection of business, law and technology.

Approximately 85 percent of The Recorder’s audience already subscribes to its website. The Recorder plans to expand its news and enterprise coverage through two daily news alerts.

“This transformation will enable us to provide more real-time, in-depth reporting of the significant issues that impact the legal community in the Bay Area, California and beyond,” said Hank Grezlak, ALM regional editor in chief, in a statement.

ALM is the parent of American Lawyer as well as law publications around the country.
