Ted David assesses life after 20 years at CNBC

David Hinckley of the New York Daily News talks to CNBC’s Ted David, who is leaving the business news network after 20 years to explore other opportunities.

Ted DavidHinckley writes, “He’s enjoyed the whole run.

“‘People say this business is cold, cruel and calculating,’ he says. ‘But there are people like that in every business. Almost everyone I’ve known is caring and decent. I’m still friends with people I met 20 years ago at CNBC.’

“He also thinks the network itself deserves a lot of credit.

“‘CNBC revolutionized the way people look at business news,’ he says. ‘There were other factors, but I think it was CNBC that changed the way the average Joe and Jane think about their money.'”
