Dan Miller, the business editor of the Chicago Sun-Times, has resigned, according to a story in Crain’s Chicago Business.

Dan MillerAnn Saphir and Greg Hinz wrote, “Mr. Miller, 62, said he will stay at the paper until sometime in March, working on special projects.

“‘The business section is going to be very tiny,’ he told Crain’s. ‘There isn’t much need for a business section editor when there isn’t much of a business section or staff to direct.’

“The rest of the business-news staff will likely be spared from cuts, either because they are needed or because of seniority, he said, according to a person there.”
