Realtors start blog, blame media coverage

April 25, 2006

Orange County Register columnist Jon Lansner, who is also SABEW’s president, notes in his blog that the National Association of Realtors has started a blog to address what it believes is unfair coverage in the media.

Lansner writes, “Here’s their premise, it’s all the media’s fault: ‘News coverage shapes perceptions of people, organizations and entire industries. Yet few of us understand what goes into the making of a news story. ‘NAR in the News’ will give its readers a peek behind the scenes into how journalists cover the nation’s largest trade association and the 1.2 million REALTORS® it represents. This blog is also a place for REALTORS® and others to express their opinions and ask questions that we will try to answer. ‘NAR in the News’ is produced by NAR’s Public Affairs Division.’

“OK, real-estate blogging fans. Go see how open Realtors are to your questions and theories!”

Read the responses that Lansner has gotten here. Some of them are humorous.
